Cape Verde

The Republic of Cape Verde is an island country just off the westernmost coast of Africa, opposite Mauritania and Senegal. Cape Verde covers an area of 4,033 square kilometers with an estimated population of over 567,000. The previously uninhabited islands were discovered and colonized by the Portuguese in the 15th century and attained independence from Portugal in 1975. China established diplomatic relations with Cape Verde in 1976, since then China has provided Cape Verde with economic and technical assistance in various items. They have cooperation in many aspects like military, technology, culture and education.
