Kazakhstan, the republic of Kazakhstan, lies in the north of the central Asian and is bounded by China in the east. With an area of 2.7 million square kilometers and an estimated population of more than 16 million people, Kazakhstan is the ninth-largest country and the largest landlocked country in the world. Kazakhstan declared itself an independent country on December 16, 1991, the last Soviet republic to do so. China and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations on in 1992, right after its independence. Since then the bilateral relation between the two country has developed normally.
