Korea is a civilization and formerly unified nation currently divided into two states. Located on the Korean Peninsula, Korea was united until 1948; then it was split into South Korea and North Korea afterwards. South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea, is a capitalist, democratic and developed country, with memberships in the United Nations, and other world organizations. South Korea has established mutual diplomatic relations with Chinasince August 24th, 1992. The two ever since has carried on various successful cooperations on economy and trade with each other.
