Libya

Libya, which refers to the country as the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, is a north African country stretching along the northeast coast of Africa in the Maghreb region. It covers an area of 1,759,541 square kilometers and has an estimated population of around 6.4 million population. China and Libya established diplomatic relations in 1978. Since then, the cooperation of the two countries in various fields has developed continuously. They support each other in international affairs and share a common understanding on Human Rights and other major questions. Libya sticks to One China policy on the question of Taiwan.
