Situated in the Songliao Plain in Northeast China, Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province. Founded in 1800, Changchun has now flourished as a center of politics, economy, science, technology and culture.Changchun enjoys an ever-changing climate. The spring and autumn are short, the summers are wild and humid, and the winters are long and cold.
Changchun is perhaps most famous for its scenery and tourist attractions. Visitors can see the Jingyue Pool National Park, which is incidentally one of the largest manmade forests in Asia, or delve into Chinese history and culture with a visit to the ancient pagoda tower in Nong'an County, which can provide guests with a comprehensive understanding of the Liao Dynasty. Changchun Film Center, Changchun Film Studio, the South Lake Park and the Buddhist Temple are also ideal scenic spots.
