Erhai Lake got its name because of its shape. The lake is known as a barrier lake and formed by a fault of the Earth's crust. The lake is found in Heigu Mountain of Er'yuan and here one can find a very beautiful and picturesque scenery located around the area of the lake. Other names of the lake are Yeyu Pond, Kunmi River and Xi'er River.

The Scene of Shuanglang
Shuanglang can be found on the northeaster shores of Erhai Lake. The place is famous due to its two beautiful beaches Lianhua and Luoshi. The two beaches look like two corridors, thus giving the area its name ��double corridors'. The lake is beautiful and serine and the sand is soft and clear. There are also two very scenic islands on the lakes, Yuji and Shuanglang Jinsuo Islands.
