Mt. Huangshan is located in the south of Anhui Province, in an area known as Mt. Yishan (Black Mountain).

Mt. Huangshan has a great many mountain peaks, of which seventy-two have names. The three main peaks are considered to be Guang Ming Ding (Bright Summit) at over 1855 meters and Tian Du Feng (Heavenly Capital Peak) at over 1830 meters respectively, while the highest of them all is the Lotus Flower Peak at over 1860 meters.

The pines on Mt. are famous for their great strength and vitality. The most famous of them are the Welcoming Pine and the Lying-Dragon Pine. Beautiful rock formations can be seen everywhere on the mountain, in a myriad of fantastic shapes, some looking like humans and some like beasts and birds in motion.

Living up to its reputation as one of China's main areas of natural history and culture, the city of Huangshan can justifiably boast about its breathtaking natural scenery and grand architecture. Mt.
