The Shenyang Imperial Palace, also known as the Crown of Manchu Culture, shares the same name in Chinese as the Forbidden City that is located in Beijing. The palace was built during the Qing Dynasty, which was founded by Manchu Aristocrats in 1644, first by Nuerhachi and later completed by his son Huangtaiji. The palace is over 380 years old and one of the few ancient Chinese palaces that uses ethnic styles in its architecture. The Shenyang Imperial Palace uses various styles of Manchu architecture and also respect for former ancestors. Presently, at the 28th World Heritage Committee Conference, China will try to include the place in the World Cultural Heritage List of the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Educational Organization.
