The Dragon Spruce Plateau, also named the ˇ®Splendid Vale', is a large meadow located in the midst of a primeval forest. The plateau is near the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and is surrounded my many spruce trees. The plateau is set at an altitude of over 3,000 meters and is also home to a vast, beautiful meadow. The Naxi people believe that the plateau is an entrance to heaven where people can enjoy each other's presence. Lovers used to come here to die when their love ran out and the plateau is known as a place of tragedy for romantic lovers.
