Trip Highlights - This tour package includes the trip to Baotou and Hohhot in Inner Mongolia of China. Hohhot, founded on May 1,1947, is the capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and is the first region that was given autonomy to the minority nationality. The region is located in northern China and the city is a famous historical and cultural city. Some of the historical sites in this four century old town are:Zhaojun’s Tomb, Five Pagodas. Baotou is Mongolian for “place where deer live”. Hence it is called by its other name, The Deer City. Baotou is the largest city which incorporates the largest green area in Inner Mongolia. The city has a profound history and abundant cultural relics.

Tour Itinerary
Tour Itinerary: (B-Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner) Day 01:Hohhot (L/D)
During your first day in Hohhot, you will first visit The Provincial Museum to view some ethnic Mongolian artifacts. Afterwards you will visit one of the biggest and best preserved temples in Hohhot, The Dazhao Lamasery, followed by the famous Five Pagoda Temple. After lunch, you will then visit the White Dagoba, Zhaojun's Tomb and the Great Mosque. Later you will be taken back to your 4 star hotel for the evening.

Day 02:Hohhot/Baotou (B/L/D) In the morning you will drive from Hohhot to Baotou and visit Resonant Sand Bay. Here you will slide down the high sand hills and hear the sounds of an unexplainable phenomenon. Afterwards you will visit Wudangzhao, the residence of the highest ranking lama in Inner Mongolia. You will stay at a 4 star hotel in Baotou city and taste local cuisine for dinner.

The Five-Pagoda Temple is also called the Sarira Pagoda of Diamond Throne. The temple was built in 1732, the 10th year of the Yongzheng Reign of the Qing. Among its notable features is the 16-metre-high structure consisting of five tiny pagodas that are elevated atop a Diamond Throne.
Dazhao Lamasery known as Ih Ju Zhao (big temple) in Mongolian, built in 1579 A.D., the seventh year of the Wanli reign of the Ming. It is the oldest and the most influential of all the 15 lamaseries in Hohhot.
Resonant Sand Bay, is located within an hour's drive away from the city of Baotou, in Ih Ju League. Here, one can slide down the dunes and hear sounds of automobile and aircraft engines, a natural unexplainable phenomenon.
