Tour Itinerary

Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)
Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa
You will arrive at the Gonggar Airport and be greeted by your tour guide. Then you will be transfered to Lhasa and have a rest at your hotel in the afternoon.
Day 02: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit Norbulingka Park and the Sera Monastery. Afterwards you will then visit the Potala Palace, constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of united Tibet. Later you will visit a Tibetan family and then be taken back to your hotel for the rest of the day.
Day 03: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Jokhang Temple and the bazaar at Barkhor Street. Afterwards you will be taken to the Carpet Factory and The Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. Finally you will see Drepung Monastery, constructed in 1416. The second through fourth Dalai Lamas once lived here. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel for the rest of the day.
Day 04: Lhasa / Yamdrok Yumtso Lake / Gyangtse / Shigatse (B/L/D)
In the morning you will leave for Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. Then you will drive by two of the highest passes in Tibet, Kambala Pass at 4,794m and Karola Pass at 5,010m above sea level. When you arrive at Gyangtse, you will visit Palkor Monastery and its Kumbum Stupa which is the largest stupa in Tibet. Continue your way to Shigatse and you’ll be transferred to the hotel in Shigatse for the evening.
Day 05: Shigatse / Sakya / Lhatse (B/L/D)
In the morning, you will visit Tashilunpo Monastery before leave for Sakya to visit Sakya Monastery which is the main monastery of Sakyapa sect. Wonder around the monastery northern ruins and drive back to Lhatse. Relax in the hotel at Lhatse for the evening.
Day 06: Lhatse/ New Tinggri [Shegar]/ Rongbuk Monastery/ E.B.C
In the morning, you will leave for Ronghuk via Shegar. On the way you will come across a few high passes, Gyatso La, Gawu La and Nyalam Passes. On the top of Gawu  La, you will be able to witness the spectacular view of the Himalayan Ranges. Then you'll take a local minibus to pay a visit to Mt. Everest base camp and Rongbuk Monastery which is the highest monastery in the world.
Day 07: Rongbuk/ Old Tingri/ Zhangmu
You will leave for Zhangmu in the morening after seeing the sunrise at the base camp. On the way you will pass the small town of Old Tingri. You will drive across the Lalung La Pass and Shung La Pass. In the afternoon, the road decends to a small town of Zhangmu which is much lower. Overnight at Zhangmu.
Day 08: Zhangmu / Kodari / Kathmandu
After eating breakfast, you will drive to the Nepal-Tibet border at Kodari. A Nepalese tour guide will then meet and accompany you to your drive to Kathmandu.
