Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall known as "he first waterfall in China", is World-famous. It located in Zhenning Bouyei-Miao Autonomous County, southwest of Guizhou. Like the Milky Way descending from the heaven, the Huangguoshu Waterfall rushes into the Xiniu pond, sending foams up by 100 meters, and roars can be heard kilometers away. With typical karst topography, the area around the Huangguoshu Waterfall boasts a cluster of fascinatin water-eroded caves. The "Fairy Dragon Cave," located four kilometers upstream from the waterfall, is the most interesting one among all the caves. Besides its karst features, it also used to be a military base for the local ethnic groups, with some military relics still remaining. Known as the Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park, Huangguoshu Waterfall are a natural tourist drawing card.
There are mainly three National Pools in the Huangguoshu National Park: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave and Rhinoceros Pool. Huangguoshu Waterfalls Cluster is the best known of some 18 in a cluster of waterfalls. Its flow is seasonally adjusted. There are some other waterfalls such as Luosi Tan Waterfall, Silver Chain Waterfall and Dishuitan Waterfall all have their distinct features.The Water Cuitain Cave dissects Huangguoshu and provides visitors view ports on the waterfall. The total length of the cave is 134 meters, including windows and halls. The pool is Rhinoceros shaped and stays submerged year round. Standing inside Water-Viewing Pavilion beside the Rhinoceros Pool to enjoy the flowing-down of the Huangguoshu Waterfall.
