The Wolong Giant Panda Reserve Center is one of only a few places in China that carries out research work on giant pandas breeding and bamboo ecology. The World Wildlife Fund assisted in the foundation of the center in 1980 and since its construction, the research center has become a world leader in its field. Enjoying warm and humid climate, The Wolong National Natural Reserve is favorable to bamboo, pandas' favorite food. Pandas are national treasures and also goodwill ambassadors. This research center is also open to tourists.
Visitors can wander through the park and look at the different species of pandas and other animals and take pictures of them in their habitat. A visitor can also adopt a panda provided they donate a certain amount of money.
